It is not possible to stay home every day forever. Sometimes you have to leave appliances or tools powered on (3D printers, PCs, …). Sometimes you wonder if you turned off the oven, tv or the water faucet.
Closed circuit television systems (CCTV) require a lot of cables and power sources scattered around the house, hoping to cover everything with the field of view of the cameras.
IP cams would have the same problem, a bit less cable work if wireless, but FOV and power sources would be a problem.
What about a moving camera?
Botler 1 idea was born. A moving platform with a webserver where a camera is streamed. Controls would be available trough the web interface, and, since it can move, every corner of the house would be accessible.
